Tv commercials
This ad commercial about petmeds selling medicine for dogs. First, a convincing sentence was told to the audience - 'We love our pets' attracting the audience to the commercial. There is clear explanation about the USP (Unique Selling Point) which is that you do not need to overpay the cost of medicine for your dog. There are a lot of different medication for dogs but here it states that they provide the same medicine at a lower price. Besides that, there was also a demonstration showing healthy dogs after taking petmeds. The voice of narrator is also approachable and clear. At the end of the advertisement, information of where to get petmeds were also given. This is a short ad commercial but I think it fulfilled everything to be considered a good ad.

Reflection
One good element of a radio commercial is the usage of sound and music. The sound effects and music in a radio ad must be cohesive with the script. Using sound effects or music that do not suit the script might confuse listeners. An example of proper usage of music or sound effects would be for a beach resort. The advertiser should use soothing music along with the relaxing sound of the waves crashing in the background to give the listeners an idea of what it would be like at the resort. In this case, it will give the audience a perception of the resort being peaceful, relaxing and serene.
Another element of a good radio commercial can be making an emotional connection. Our thoughts and actions can be affected by emotion. Many ads are successful through the emotional connection the ads create with the audience. One common example that can be given is any drunk driving ad. There will be a narration about drunk driving. This, paired with the right melancholic tune, can create a big impact on the audience. Hence, if you want an ad to be remembered, arousing emotions is an important element.
